Building the perfect chicken feeder
Raising chickens can be tough work
It can also be fun and very rewarding. If you are working the "9-5" and also trying to homestead part time, you know that the added responsibilities can a times be a lot to deal with.
That's why it's important to try and make your life as easy as possible. I recommend starting by
building your chickens their own feeder.
I have three chickens and this feeder lasts them for a solid week.
The following is a list of the items you'll need:
10 feet of ABS pipe (3")
2 X caps
1 X "Y" fitting
As you can see, there's not much to it. Check out the video below for the DIY video. It's a great how to for a simple project. Most of the items should be at your local hardware store.
Don't make life harder than it has to be.
Simply cut the pipe to the desired length, attach all the fittings and fill up with food. It shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes from start to finish.
I think you'll be satisfied with this project and it should cost you less than $50. (that's the extreme high end). Check out the video and don't forget to subscribe to stay up to date with new videos.
