Health

South Korea - A norovirus outbreak has been confirmed in the South Korean town of Peyongchang. This also happens to be where the winter olympics are currently being held.

So far there are now 128 cases of the virus. Many security guards have been pulled off there shifts due to the sickness.

United States - Life expectancy in the United States has dropped again to 78.6 years. A decrease of 0.1 years since 2015.

It was quoted that the drop was largest with "middle-age white Americans and those living in rural communities." The main factors in the drop seem to be drugs, alcohol, and suicide.

Also, scientists are now saying that viruses and bacteria are literally falling from the sky. Scientists have said that viruses are floating up in the troposphere and and float back down to earth.

Flu - The flu is continuing to get worse and health officials say that now it is as bad as the 2009 Swine Flu epidemic.

Also, the CDC is reporting that this flu is responsible for 1 in 10 deaths in the United States. Or about 4,000 per week.

I know, I know, I say it every week. If you're sick, STAY HOME! It's important. Depending on where you live now though allergies are starting to spark up. It's important to know the differences. Don't just assume you've got allergies. You could be spending more sickness.

Environmental

Chicago - the windy city is expecting a total of 20 inches of snow by Friday.

Economics

United States - The U.S. debt is expected to almost triple since the end of 2017. At the end of 2017 the United State's budget was at 500 million and is expected to reach 1.4 billion by the end of fiscal year 2018.

Now tax cuts should stimulate the U.S. economy. However, if congress does not reverse this spending trend America may find itself in a financial crisis not seen since the depression in the 30's.
